This is a replica of an African Battle Shield. It is based off the. Shield with the exception of the fur on the shield. Traditional Zulu shields use only cow hide but I used a zebra print fur.
It stand just over 3 ft from the Mgobo or center pole, which is wrapped with feathers. The Shield is made of wood and is 2ft tall and 12.5 in wide. The Assegai or Spear is 3 ft long with a 4in tip. The Knob-Kerrie or ball club is 3 ft long as well.
